The eponymous first release of long time Idaho ne’er-do-well and gad about town, Belstrom Felonious Nordburger, finds our man Belstrom half-haphazardly mucking his way through musical gauntlets more befitting a baroque-pop orchestra than the grungy basement digs from which he was reared. This stylistic departure makes for a strange anachronistic marriage between form and function, eschewing traditional rock and pop arrangements for instrumental parings that would be considered blasphemous if they just weren’t so damn catchy.
